Rojo Habe

I have one particular file (and Excel workbook) that no longer appears under
'Recent Items' on the Start menu. Instead, every time I open the file a new
shortcut appears in the Recent Items folder
(C:\users\<username>\appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Win dows\Recent\) with a
number in parenthesis appended, each time incremented by 1. Although these
shortcuts appear in the Recent Items folder they still do not appear under
'Recent Items' in the Start menu. I've tried deleting them and then opening
the file again but they just reappear as before, still without appearing on
the Start menu.

I've tried searching for the filename in the registry but it only appears as
MRU entries for Office, not Windows. In any case, I'm loathe to touch
anything in there without seeking advice first.

All other files appear as expected, even other workbooks. It's just this
one file. I've even tried cutting and pasting everything to a brand new
file, deleting the old one and saving the new one with the same filename.
Next step is to try saving with a different filename but even if that works
I'd still like to get to the bottom of this. Can anybody offer any ideas?
