RE: Processor and Memory (RAM): Not Available Vista - Control Pane
Mine was caused by AIM.... I am pretty sure. It also caused issues with my
Wireless Network Icon in the tray for which I googled a fix for. Has to do with some issue of 'Access Denial' atleast thats what it was with the Network Icon Tray. Grrr...AIM. |

RE: Processor and Memory (RAM): Not Available Vista - Control Pane
Everything you describe above sounds like problems other people have had
after installing AIM 6.5. I have had these same problems myself. Some people report that uninstalling AIM 6.5 solved the problem. (Unfortunately, this did not solve all of the problems I am having.) Some other people report that using system restore to go back to before when AIM 6.5 was installed solved the problem. Unfortunately, this did not work for me either. One problem I am still having (after uninstalling AIM) is that I cannot log on to my PC with a standard user account. The screen simply goes black and never recovers. I can log on fine with an administrator account, though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! "tj" wrote: > Mine was caused by AIM.... I am pretty sure. Re: Processor and Memory (RAM): Not Available Vista - Control Pane
Thanks for the suggestion about Trillian. I guess I should have been clearer
about what I am looking for. Actually, I don't care about my teenage son's IM needs. I am much more concerned about restoring Vista to normal operating mode. My biggest issue is that I cannot log on to the PC with standard user accounts; the screen goes blank. I can, however, still log on with an administrator account.
