I'm amazed that advertising laws in the USA allow this sort of thing. If a company here in South Africa where to do something similar, they'd get slammed with a lawsuit so quickly it wouldn't even be funny how quickly the Chamber Of Commerce will shut them down. TBH, we have little choice but to use Microsoft and PC products here in South Africa. Apple MAC is just too damned expensive here to even consider. And that's assuming we are even lucky enough to find a supplier! Gotta love those ads of Mac vs. PC though. Good laugh! ![]() -- dzomlija ____________________________________ Peter Alexander Dzomlija Do you hear, huh? The Alpha and The Omega? Death and Rebirth? Who wudda thunk that Bud needed > advertising. A lot of psychology studies are done by advertisers to find out what works best - there is a *lot* of research in the field. To say there is "zero evidence" that they work is just flat out wrong. -- I am one of only .3% of people who have avoided becoming a statistic. |

To say there is "zero evidence" for them working is just silly. -- Picture of a tuna soda: http://snipurl.com/f351 Feel free to ask for the recipe. |

It's not so much an "agreement" as it is a choke hold on freedom of speech. Here, we can say what we want, went we want and how we want. Just be prepared for a fight if you speak out against someone or something. Especially in business. This is why we've had only ONE Telecoms provider since the early 70's. This is why we are threatened with jail time "if we don't pay our TV licence" (which is, btw, a free over-the-air service). This is why we pay around $84 for a 384Kb/s 1GB Capped "broadband". This is why when police shoot a criminal in the line of duty to protect us, they get charged with attempted murder. I may not like the Americans much (too "high 'n mighty" for my taste, sorry ), but you gotta admit, their laws regarding freedom of speechare second to none! And it shows in the advertising like these PC vs. Mac ads. Great stuff. -- dzomlija ____________________________________ Peter Alexander Dzomlija Do you hear, huh? The Alpha and The Omega? Seems... well... unlikely. Still its true. Consider that what many consider the 'best' commercial campaign ever - The California Raisins- saw a decrease in raisin sales during its run. |
