Adding Calendar to file manager

Hi,
is it possible to add a calendar to the new file manager in Vista? If yes,
then how do I do it

not really sure what you are asking for.

there is a Calendar program available already from the START menu or desktop icon.
in addition there is a calendar available in the Sidebar.
and in the date/time portion of the Notification Area.

what is exactly you are looking for that is not already available.

Hi Thanks for your reply,
on my desktop I have an icon that looks like a diary with my name on it, I
assume this is the new version of file manager, if I open this I have
categories like Documents, Pictures, Music etc., I want to know if I can add
a calendar here

Actually, that's a good idea! It would be nice if Vista worked that way.
Unfortunately, it doesn't; not out of the box anyway. As mikyhsd posted,
you'll need to access your calendar by running Windows Calender.

But ... you can drag and drop the Windows Calender icon from the Start menu
into your User directory, to make it easier to reach. For example:

- double-click on the Explorer icon (the one that looks like a diary);
- Explorer opens a window with your Contacts, Desktop, Documents. Downloads,
Music etc.
- now, go to Start menu, Accessories
- right-click on Windows Calendar
- keeping the right mouse button down, drag the Windows Calendar icon to
your Explorer window
- release the right mouse button
- choose "Create Shortcut here"
- a new icon will appear called "Calendar".
- the window will now show Calendar, Contacts, Documents, Downloads etc.
- when you double-click on this new Calendar shortcut icon, it will open
your Windows Calendar.
