I installed DirectX 9....
I was installing a game and it asked me to install DirectX 9, so i did. i was
just wondering, would this effect the DX 10 in Vista or not? thanks in advance! |

No. The game will run the DirectSetup program, which will determine that your computer can has a suitably up-to-date version of DirectX (version 9L), and it will take no action. It is possible that the game might need some optional components, in which case they'll be installed too. None of this effects DirectX 10 - that's a seperate system that is never affected by DirectX 9. Alun Harford |

Thanks guys, i did some looking around the web but i thought it was best to
come here, i was just wondering if the DX 9 files could overwrite the DX 10 ones and now i have the answer! Cheers ![]() |
