Shadow Copy - can you buy it seperately for Home Premium
The only piece of functionality that I want that is not on Home Premium is
Shadow Copy. Is there a way of getting Shadow Copy for Home Premium or are my only choices 1. upgrade to Ultimate, 2. get a separate product like Acronis? Thank you, Jeff |

AFAIK you can't install an Ultimate feature into Home versions. Frankly, Acronis TrueImage is a better solution anyway. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

It keeps copies (or versions) of all files you work on, so you can "go back"
if you ***** up. "Ian Betts" <> wrote in message news:.gbl... > What's shadow, do you mean ghost. Unfortunately, Microsoft didn't include the GUI to restore lost files in the Home Basic/Premium editions, even though the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is also included and fully running! But luckily there is a third party tool at 'ShadowExplorer.com' () which allows you to browse the Shadow Copies and restore files if needed! -- ShadeExpl Posted via |
