Re: Office 2003 & Windows Vista
I've been using Vista since Sept. 2007. All of a sudden - last month - my
old Access databases won't open. Errors such as ... "An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning" and "selected collating sequence not supported by the operating system". OK - I know I'm out of date - I'm using Office 2000, but it meets my modest needs. So why, after 5 months, did Access 2000 stop working with Vista? Is there any way to make it work? (I don't care to purchase a newer version of Access.) thanks. Re: Office 2003 & Windows Vista
Hi Dave,
I came across this MSKB when Googling: You receive a "Selected Collating Sequence Not Supported" error message in Access 2000: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/202150 If that does not apply, you may post this question in Microsoft Access newsgroup for more accurate help. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com Winhelponline.com blog http://www.winhelponline.com/blog "Dave H" <dhaidlinger@wi.rr.com> wrote in message news:e7cQa4TiIHA.2416@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... Re: Office 2003 & Windows Vista
Hey folks! Were you able to get any resolution on this? I'm in the same
boat - software was installed under a user ID with admin rights, tried to run the different apps as admin, and tried the registry fix - all to no avail. I'm hoping your off-line discussions found the answer??? Thanks in advance... "bronzeback" wrote: > I have done both methods as listed on that link. Re: Office 2003 & Windows Vista
OK, so it's not a "log on"...it's a box to check to "run as administrator":
it is light grey and does not allow me to run as administrator. Can you help?
