location is not available help
Hi
after receiving windows updates i get this location is not available c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. it could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network. check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network and then try again. if it still cannot be located the information might have been moved to a different location. {i am connected net} it happens when ever i try to d/l anything to the desktop. thank you i have vista home premium |

Re: location is not available help
Try this. Go to C:\Users\(You) and right click on the Desktop folder and
choose Properties. On the Location tab, click on Restore Default. Then go to C:\Users\Public and do the same for the (hidden) Public Desktop folder. RE: location is not available help
Has this issue been resolved? I have a client that is calling me about the
same message. I want to gather as much information about this before I sit down behind her notebook. Re: location is not available help
(i hope this helps) I was downloading some files using Bitlord and when i tried looking for them they couldn't be found. I got the same message as the one posted above... C:\Program Files\BitLord\Downloads\-filename- refers to a location that is unvailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the informaiton might have been moved to a different location. Anyways, all I had to do is go to the folder where my files were supposed to be and click on the "compatibility files" tab and there it was. So everytime I have to access this files I simply go to the folder where my files are supposed to be and click on the tab called "compatibility files" so i can fully see my files. I hope this helps. Re: location is not available help
Hi, I'm new to this site, but I was having the same difficulties w/"this location not available". I followed the directions to "restore" defaults" and it has worked so far. I was trying to use an SD Memory Card and the drive wasn't there... after restoring, I put the memory card in the computer and it found the card! arty:Thank you!Crystal -- CD67 |
