| Guest Posts: n/a | Rename file - click 3 times I encountered some of the files when I rename them I need to get rid of 3 pop up confirmation boxes. Why is that? |

Hi Alan, That would be Vista's UAC (User Account Control) security. It is to help protect you from you changing something you may not want to change. It is normal for Vista. You can disable this 'security' feature in control panel - user accounts - disable - turn user account control off |

So in reality UAC is giving you more control over your system. If your working with files under your login in your user folder, UAC does not prompt. Now that my system is set up with the programs I use, I rarely get any UAC prompts. -- The most reliable time to upgrade to a new Operating System is at the end of its life cycle. Dave |
