Windows Updates

I want to manage which updates are applied to my pc. However, the Windows
Defender update I would like to be applied automatically. It's bad enough
that it seems like almost every day I have to update the machine. I really
don't want to be bothered with this.

Re: Windows Updates

By default, Windows Defender looks for updates prior to a scan. If
available, the update is installed and the scan commences.

Re: Windows Updates

Hi,

You can't separate them. The Automatic Update and the degree to which it
goes is either on for all critical updates or it's off.

I agree Mike. I can have my AV software update automatically but not
Defender. I dual boot XP/Vista at least once a day and the many Defender
updates get a bit annoying. But it's only 3 clicks.
