Can't delete a message in the outbox

I have tried the download suggested in other threads but I still can't delete
the message in the outbox. What happened is that an update turned my computer
off as I was sending an email. The update threw my vista out of whack and
wouldn't let my computer restart. After getting hold of Microsoft they walked
me through fixing it. I didn't know at the time that the message was stuck in
the outbox. I can recieve email but I can't send (very bad for business) When
I ran the update that was suggested it said that it didn't work for me ( I
don't remember the exact words) What can I do as I need to send several
emails.

Did you try installing both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of the
fix? One will just refuse to install, but which one depends on which
version
of Vista you have.

If it doesn't delete the problem message, it should at least make it
possible
for you to delete it.

If even that doesn't work, what if any antivirus programs do you have?
Some of them cause assorted problems in Windows Mail.

If the Microsoft fix does not work for you, then the best alternative is
to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
