RE: large white block still appearing.
-Dwarf, You were right! It was the Norton/Symantec security. It was a trial version. I deleated it and now MY BIG WHITE SCREEN IS GONE!!. I tried everything suggested but to no avail. It stayed with me until this morning. Thanks to all.
