ANN : Off Topic :Votes : USA Only
Just a question, which votes actually elect the next President? Is is the
popular vote of the citizens, or is it the Electoral Colledge ? Who is this E.C. anyway? Perhaps I should just join the local Masonic Lodge. Regards, Looking for the Truth |

Re: ANN : Off Topic :Votes : USA Only
The votes that actually elect the president are the ones that are cast. If
you don't vote then they don't count. Just FYI. The Electoral College casts the votes. That assumes they haven't been drinking and partying all week. You know, they could actually vote for the wrong person. What if they vote for Ron Paul? Could be a disaster for the country. Doesn't your country have a Senate and or Congress that can thwart the power
of the President? "Spanky deMonkey" <> wrote in message news:.gbl... > The votes that actually elect the president are the ones that are cast. > If you don't vote then they don't count. Just FYI. The Democrats have been the majority in the Senate and House for almost 4 years and they haven't been able to thwart President Bush. Much better than it was at the end of Clinton's term.
