trouble opening shared folders on network
Hi Everyone, I have set up my home network between a Vista Ultimate and Home Premium machine and i can "see" all the folders that i shared and have verified that i can print from the laptop (Home Premium) across the network. But what i can't do is actually open a folder. I get the message that i don't have permission, yet everything i can see is set to "full control". i'm sure there is some setting i may not be thinking of here.... Thanks in advance for your help! In particular Step Three. If it is a user account's personal folder, you may need to grant permission for the main username folder to be able to access the other folders first. Re: trouble opening shared folders on network
Thanks Shawn, i saw that tutorial last night but didn't go through it in detail...i'll double check it when i get home tonight. I do have a question though: when i get to #s 9 and 10 under step 3, am i only entering users for the machine the shared folders reside or is their a way that i have to enter the user/network path of the other machine here? -- dustinfrank |
