Vista Broken

Vista Ultmate
Windwos Explorer cut and paste fails.
1) will not do it.
2) leaves empty folders behind.
Cut and paste to folder of same name always fails one way or another.
Says save folder so I check the do i anyway box and it seems to run but
really does not.
Never had this problem in XP.
From D: to C: or from Pen Drive to C: etc.
And it is very slow doing any kind of copy.
A utilit I have does 60 Bytes / sec.
WE does < 1MByte/Sec.
Very poor performamce through WE.
What can Ido to fix this.
same with SP1 too.

Re: Vista Broken

My first time posting and I'm not even sure I am posting my question in
the right place. Forgive if I mess up I have a Dell Inspiron 531
running Vista. When I log off in "sleep" mode...all is well, but if I
turn my computer off for any reason or McAfee wants to shut it down
after an update, it won't let me back in. It just goes through a thing
of turning on, showing the welcome screen, immediately going into power
save mode, the back through the same process over and over and over. I
can only get back up and running when I use F8 and restore the last time
I was online successfully. I have tried to call DELL but get someone in
India who I can't understand and who can not understand me. I will
appreciate your help...thanks! Beverly

Bevlar, I suggest that you download and save to your computer the free AVG
Anti-virus (Version 8 also contains anti-spyware).
Navigate carefully so you don't accidentally click on a priced version.
Uninstall McAfee. Install AVG.

Re: Vista Broken

Thank you for answering!! I have been hearing from other friends that
McAfee is my problem. I have used AVG in the past on my old computer.
This new one came with McAfee already installed. I will do as you
suggest. Again, Thank you! Bev
