I download the full 5-landuage standalone and have had no problems whatsoever.

getting any updates either. Sorry others are having so much trouble

Heck, I didn't have any problems with Vista before SP1, and it's even
better with SP1.

So no, I've no problems with SP1

If you're asking for opionions because you're considering installing
it, then I'd recommend it any day.

It's working great on my machine -- no problems whatsoever, and I've got an
awful lot of strange stuff running.
