You've never run a Linux distribution in your life - at least not to give a fair trial. FYI - I've assembled and submitted all the information for a pictorial directory to Olan Mills using Open Office and creating a ppt document. It was received and processed with zero problems. > > There are millions of users out there who need their systems to work. > For that task, they DUMP Ubuntu and use a Windows solution. Counter point - mission critical software at our major DOD test ranges does NOT run MS. What could be more vital? > > The TOY OS Ubuntu is only good for geeks and social misfits (like > Alias). Other than that, it is best to ignore Ubuntu. Here we go with the personal attacks again - what ignorance! |

The other poster talked about the bugs. I'm not ignorant about computers. I know much more than you know about them. I can evaluate another OS pretty quick, not like you, who is happy doing those very basic tasks that Ubuntu can handle. Most people think that Ubuntu is a piece of shit. Reason I know that: Ubuntu is FREE and still less than 1% of people use it. Imagine, a FREE OS that the world ignores. That should tell you boatloads about the product. It is only good for geeks who can't get dates and other misfits. Don't like it? Migrate to the Ubuntu group where you will be loved. You just don't have a frikkin' clue |

That ubuntu isn't better than Vista ? It isn't, not by a long shot. Google Earth is faster in Vista than Hardy Heron. Compiz still has bugs in it. FF3 still has bugs...and yet is a default package. I don't mind ubuntu ... it makes a nice tinker toy ... but I am honest about it. |

No, you're ignorant and don't know what you're talking about but, what's worse, you think you do. Alias |
