is there a way to shut off all the permissions in Vista?

Hi I reformatted the computer back to xp for now. Is there a way to shut off
all the permissions to continue in vista. If there is I`ll put it back on.
but I do alot of work on the computer and it got annoying have to give it
permission constantly. I know vista is about security but it has gone alittle
to far. Also I got tired of having to try and get a program working . Run as
admin wouldn`t work or it was too hard to get permission set up as admin.
I`m the only one that runs this computer and noone else touches. So if there
was a way to change it . I would appreciate it.

Just set up your User account as an administrator - that should cover most
eventualities. What do you mean by "it was too hard to get permission set up
as admin"? An Admin account can do ANYTHING on the computer.....

Re: is there a way to shut off all the permissions in Vista?

Hi Gorden, Most of the time the admin account worked but there was a few
programs I was trying to get set up wouldn`t let me take over as Admin so I
deleted them. I would go into proterties and in the permissions and the take
over admin would be greyed out on them and I would play around with the user
account and still couldn`t get it ungrey. So I just went back to xp for now.
thanks
