Windows Failed To Start - HELP
Windows Boot Manager comes up and says: "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1. Insert your windows vita installation disc and restart cpu 2. choose language, click bext 3. click repair your computer" It is all very well, but I don't have the disc. Vista was installed on my cpu when I bought it and did not get backup disc. I tried to start the cpu in SafeMode but when pressing F8 it only goes to a screen where I can choose Boot disc. Computers that come preinstalled with Windows, usually have a program from the manufacturer (OEM) that will burn rescue or installation disks for you. Anyway, it is too late for that now. You will have to buy an installation disk, or borrow one from someone, in order to repair your computer. Charlie42 |

Re: Windows Failed To Start - HELP
You should get a page of options using F8. You should be able to select
'Last Known Good' or be able to do a system restore to before your problem. If you really don't, you can download a recovery disk from here. Page down and download the version you need. http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/downlo...recovery-disc/ "wahla21" <wahla21@hotmail.co.uk> wrote in message news:wahla21.3j0oje@no-mx.tabletquestions.com... > > Windows Boot Manager comes up and says: > "Windows failed to start.
