IE8 Beta, YouTube, MySpace & Adobe Question

Hello,

I've already contacted MySpace.Com & Adobe about the following problem of
which does not happen with Firefox 3.

I'm told to install Flash (and I already have the latest, uninstalled and
reinstalled) or I won't be watching video or music apps appear.

So, the question is, how do I fix this?

BTW, there is no way to uninstall IE8 Beta that I can find in Vista...
This problem did not happen with IE7 and Vista Home Premium w/SP1.

Re: IE8 Beta, YouTube, MySpace & Adobe Question

Hi,

You can try viewing the web page in compatibility mode by clicking the
'Compatibility view' button on the address bar when you encounter a page
that does not render properly. Please note that Internet Explorer 8 is till
in BETA, so certain third party extensions such as Adobe Flash Player might
not be compatible yet. Have installed the latest version of Flash Player -
10 to see if it improves the situation?

To uninstall IE 8, click start > type 'Programs and Features' > under task >
click 'View Installed Updates" > do a search for 'Windows Internet Explorer
8' > right click it and click uninstall. A restart might be required.

For issues with Internet Explorer 8, you might also want to post this to the
respective newsgroup:
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta

Best regards,
Andre Da Costa

Re: IE8 Beta, YouTube, MySpace & Adobe Question

I suspect this is a likely compatibility problem between IE and Flash for
now. I recommend going back to Internet Explorer 7 for now until the issue
is resolved or use Firefox to view those particular web pages while you test
IE 8.

If you are not seeing the Flash Player extension in IE 7 add-ons, its
possibly you have Flash installed for Firefox. Make sure you have the
ActiveX Control for Flash Player installed:

Andre,

to retrace my steps.
The 1st action I took was to explore add ons in IE8 and Flash was never
found.
