File open dialog default to details

How can I get the windows file open dialog to default to details view
every time?

A good question. I'd like to know that too.
I've seen it asked before, but no solution was ever given.

Re: File open dialog default to details

Set the default view of that Explorer folder. For instance, Notepad defaults
to Details view for Documents explorer which is default location it displays
when you click File > Open. So, you would have set the default view for the
Documents Explorer.
