Udungtu 8.10

It been out what - 3 weeks.

I just reinstalled as a VMWare virtual machine. Surprise! There are 89
updates to available for the default install.

A bit much, I think, for a new operating system!

Re: Udungtu 8.10

They must be operating under a non compete clause.

Linux has been available for about 10 years now and they have what - 3-4% of
the desktops!

Re: Udungtu 8.10

They drink really, really deep on the cool aid over there?

I tried Ubuntu a few months ago and my results are: ubuntu=not for me (or
the other 94% of the population even when offered free!).

You might want to examine just how many of those 89 updates are for the
os vs. everything included in the installation that is not part of the
os itself. And I thought alias was a troll. Fine job. lol

I think you'll find those are mainly updates to the included applications,
which of course, are in continuous improvement and development, not the OS
itself...
