This is a typical Redmond attitude, and has been for years. The things that are broken in Vista are not "non-issues", whether they affect one person or 2500. Earle |

As iforbes states, if Microsoft would have tried to make Vista more user friendly, there would not be so many complaints and folks like you would not be so frustrated by trying to defend it. Even before I install it, I am discouraged that Microsoft has decided to nickel and dime their customers by doing things like removing the fax capabilities from the Home Premium edition. I will be installing Vista after Christmas, since having involved in the Beta testing program, I decided I needed to wait for a new computer. When I come to this group to get help in the future, hopefully there are folks here in addition to breitak67 who are actually willing to help! Clark |

Hey , don't worry Mr. Horton. Even a bail-out won't save them. If the government gives them one single dollar...me and about 6 other people I know will sell our Silverado's and GMC's...and all buy Tundra's. Toyota will receive quite a increase in sales if GM receives welfare. Bank on it. GM wants to sit on a high horse...let them sit. Without consessions from the workers....PAY CUTS....I will never buy another American vehicle ever. Toyota....can you make them less Dodge looking ? Flatten that hood...make them less round looking...and I'll buy 2. |

I run a network of 2500 users by myself. I personally can adapt as I have done so at home with Vista. However, my 2500 users are another story. They want things to work and work the way they have always done. Anyone who is a network Admin understands that. |

Re: Windows Vista - SP2 - What functionality is removed this time?
No Problem. I run Vista SP1 (hacked to get back most of the XP function) at
home with little issue. I actually prefer some of the features that were added like the ability to rename a file without an extension and the Gadget bar which I use a lot. However, I am now the beta tester for our organization to see if we can actually handle running Vista. I have XP and all Vista licenses have Downgrade rights (Even OEM which surprised me) therefore I can keep XP as long as I want. The issue is that some of the new Dell laptops we buy literally don't have any drivers for XP or they are very difficult to find. I know that it will only be a matter of time before the drivers are just not available anymore and we are forced to switch to Vista. I need to be prepared. I don't have Vista Business installed as of yet. We have switched our Select License company and have not received our KMS key yet so I am not able to test SP2. Also with SP1 there were features removed that I wasn't even aware of for awhile. Cheers, Lara "Steve Thackery" wrote: > Lara, > > Please ignore my message, and please accept my apologies. I don't think more important per-sey. However it is easy for a home use to
create a shortcut on the desktop for the Desktop icon and IE. When you are dealing with 2500 users all with profiles that roam the job becomes a lot more complicated. You don't have to listen to your wife cursing about it...
