duplicate emails in windows mail

2 copies of every email in windows mail - very annoying (but only to one
email address)
that account is only listed in accounts once (its the first one listed)
other email addresses only get one copy of email
tried turning norton off - no luck
only happens when save at server turned on ( i think windows mail may be
pulling a 2nd copy from server - even though it shouldn't)
any ideas. comcast and gateway computers couldnt solve this. Thanks for
any help.

Re: duplicate emails in windows mail

It is your Anti Virus that is causing this.. Norton,MacAfee and Trend has to be
uninstalled completely using their uninstall tool located at their site and then
re-installed without the email integration (email scanning) or otherwise just by
turning the email scanning feature off it will not work or correct the issue.

Norton Uninstall tool

Yeah ... I use a lot of free crap !

Crap is free for a reason.

Just look at linux.

If I want a bogged down, useless PC...I will try some of this free junk.

NOD32 does the job...and I like supporting their efforts with MONEY.

You know...money ?
Its what people live off of.
I want my security spe******ts to eat regularly.

Thanks for everyone's input! I't a shame Norton doesn't fix this issue. If
NOD folks can create a program with less bugs I'm surprised Norton doesn't
have the resourses to do it. I tried free antiviral software years ago and
did find whatever I happened to try to have a unsatisfying user interface
(not too friendly) and more designed for people more knowledgeable than me.
But maybe the stuff has improved.

LOL.
Avast sucks.
For free...it beats a fly-swatter.
I am a long standing member with NOD32...it keeps me problem free.
Why would I fix what ain't broke ?

I ain't no freebie moron.

Yes...i tried ubuntu 8.10 ... and it wrecked my PC.
Notice I have an SLI PC ----which 8.10 fried.

I use debian---which sucks less than ubuntu --- but not by much.

Yes , if I was some turd in the middle of Africa....ubutntu would be OK.

I ain't that turd tho.

Third world turds are used to shet....let them have at it.

Let their ubuntu PC's teach them how to turn sand into food.

I'm waiting for this.

ubuntu is a charity case.

Re: duplicate emails in windows mail

Larry, forget the ramblings of this idiot, Smith!
Nod32 and Kaspersky are not too bad for paid AVs.
Put it this way; they are better than Norton, lol.

A really good, and free AV is Avast.
I put it on a lot of my customers' computers.
I show then how to use it, they are happy.
And, I leave the email scanning on with it.
Listen for the howls now!

Avast Anti-Virus is XP and Vista compatible (32bit and 64bit Versions),
FREE, auto-updating, and a low resources user of your computer.
And, only have 1(one) Anti-Virus installed / running on your computer at any
one time..
Conflicts may occur if you have more than 1(one).

Cheers.
