RE: Please help I've got Sound Problems

I've had the same problem, and haven't found a solution yet. I have many
..mpg files on my old computer running xp pro. They play fine on that
computer, but if I put them on this one (with Vista), they lose the sound.
I've tried playing them in Windows Media Player, as well as burning them to
DVDs and playing them in my DVD player. Neither one works, and they both
seem to be the same problem. Video, no sound. When I move them from that
computer to this one, then back, they don't have sound on that computer.

RE: Please help I've got Sound Problems

I have the same problem. Video from my Sony DCR-SR80 create .mpg files and
when I use Windows Media Player I don't have any sound. I can play it on
other applications just fine. Did you ever find a solution?

Re: Please help I've got Sound Problems

It sounds like a codec issue...you either don;t have the correct single
codec...or you have installed one of those mega codec packs...
