RE: CompletePC to DVD fails to verify....

I'm also having the same problem. CompletePC Backup fails because it fails to
verify the DVD. Not a DVD writer or media issue since I've burned other discs
fine.

I guess I should resign to accepting that the backup software built into
Vista is a cheap piece of garbage but I don't feel we should have to spend so
much money on third-party software at the price that MS is charging for Vista!

Re: CompletePC to DVD fails to verify....


I bought two identical HP systems from Costco. One had a DVD burner that
consistantly failed verify, but passed PC-Tools testing. When I switched
burners, the problem stayed with the drive. I am getting a new drive.

I think that the verify is more thorough, and most other burns may
tollerate a small error.
