Connections problems with various programs.

Hi,

I've been unable to get various programs that need to access the internet in
order to update to actually work. These programs include my avg anti-virus,
my itunes, and now even my internet explorer, but somehow my firefox works
just fine. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
