Re: Vista 32 bit and 8gig ram

Hi,

I have an Alienware Area 51 m9750 laptop. I have 2GB of RAM installed on it
and planning to upgrade to 4GB of RAM. My system has a 32bit Vista Home
Premium installed on it and yes I know that the 32bit OS does not recognize
4GB of RAM and so I want to try out 64bit Vista Home Premium.

I heard somewhere that Microsoft is providing free upgrades to 64bit Vista
for all users of 32bit vista. is it true ? if its not, then what are the ways
that i can upgrade my OS to a 64bit version ?

Thank you.

Srikar.
