Re: Vista is better than XP
Hehe thanks Matt! Well, to answer your question, audio does work perfectly clear in Windows XP. I don't know if the beeping is supposed to happen on purpose though. For example; it beeps while in the terminal and you press backspace on an empty line. Is it supposed to do that? If it is, I'm really sorry I made you take away 6 hours of your time

Sorry The sound is supposed to happen by default. You can turn it off by putting this in the terminal:Code:
rmmod pcspkr Well, I'm really sorry that I made you take 6 hours... also, for anyone that tries this, if you like the annoying beep, you can turn it back on by typing this in the terminal:Code:
modprobe pcspkr

Re: Vista is better than XP
So that means the sound works perfectly good? I thought so...because after posting some issues I had this weekend with Ubuntu on the Ubuntuforum the XP sound drivers work also in any Linux distros! So yeah....At least both of us got our problems fixed!

Re: Vista is better than XP
Eh, ok
now at least I don't so bad anymore, but still sorry for taking your time. I just found this trick from searching on google 'how to hack ubuntu'... and I found a lifehacker.com page. I sometimes like lifehacker, so I went to it and found the way to turn off the beeping noise. Well, thanks again for at least trying ![]()
