Enabling DVD rom drive in vista
My dvd rom drive is disabled after a viral attack. I read thread how to disable CD/DVD rom DRIVE by Rocky but it didn't solve my problem to enable it. OS is Vista Ultimate . control panel & reg entries are all right as per the refered thread.... Thanks

Open device Manager, expand DVD/CD-ROM drives and enable your DVD writer.

There is only one option "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10ATA Device" & it is already enabled & in device status property this is written
" Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) " |
