Download the latest version from Apple's website. After installing, then plug in your Nano and see if it works. |

Re: ipod nano not being recognized
Since this is a Windows XP group, the answer will be to UPgrade to
Windows XP. Otherwise you may ask in the Apple forum about Windows 98 support. Hi - since you're using the web interface to access this group, you may not realize that it is not a forum. It's a usenet newsgroup. There's no "bump" in here, so few people will see this old thread. Also, "me too!" posts are discouraged - if you're replying in a thread, it's expected that you're discussing the issue the original poster is experiencing. I suggest you consider using a news client, such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express, rather than the pretty clunky web interface to the newsgroups. It's a lot easier to do nearly everything that way. You can mark messages to be watched, filter the views so you can see replies to your posts easily, and search. The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required. Additionally, http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm may help you to make better use of usenet.
