internet gateway / internet connection
Hey, guys... I am not really having a PROBLEM connecting to the internet but
I don't understand why my PC keeps disconnecting and connecting the internet gateway. Periodically I see a "bubble" come up that says "Internet is now connected". But this happens randomly. I don't keep making changes to the system. It just keeps popping up. When I open Network connections I see it is connected. Then when I had it up it disappeared after it said it was disabled. Then it popped back in again. I really don't understand why this is happening. I have a wireless network. |

Once we get that out of the way, we can move on. |

Once we get that out of the way, we can move on. I'll be monitoring this thread because I'm experiencing the same exact problem (but with a wireless connection to an Acer notebook running Vista). So far, I haven't found a solution, and I'm thinking it may be a bum router (Linksys WRT54G). |

Re: internet gateway / internet connection
make sure cable supplying the modem has a large enough conductor to handle the current applied..if you bought the connecting cable at a discount store it may be to small....
