Make Console Applications not full screen

Something happened, and now the command prompt and other console applications
open in full screen. I do not want them to open in full screen. How do I
stop them from opening in full screen? I am using windows XP Media Center
edition.

Try opening a command prompt and press "Alt + Enter" to go back to Window
mode. Next click on the "Cmd" icon on the top left corner of the command
window and select "Defaults". Under the "Display Options" click on the radio
button beside "Window" and then select OK and close the properties Windows.

Now click on the "Cmd" icon on the top left corner of the command window
again and select "Properties". Under the "Display Options" click on the
radio button beside "Window" and then select OK and close the properties
Windows. If you see the "Apply Properties To Shortcut" dialog, click on the
radio button beside "Modify shortcut that started this window" and then click
OK.
