Updating Windows product key in safe mode
Hi,
I've just installed WinXP Pro on one of my PCs to find out that the software wasn't genuine. Windows would not start because of this so I have booted in safe mode and have gone through the Windows Genuine Advantage checkup and have bought a new product key. The problem now is that the Key updater tool (KeyUpdateTool.exe) wouldn't work in safe mode and Windows wouldn't start normally. Is there a way to update the product key properly while staying in safe mode? Regards, Usman. |
