Win XP Pro
CD was purchased under student program perhaps 3 years(?) ago.
Now when I wemt to repair the OS I find that the version is so old I cannot repair unlest I reinstal everything. I also cannot access any of the 'Perform additional tasks' This is a genuine MS cd. Does MS exchange defective XP install CD's? |

All you said is that you 'cannot repair unlest you reinstall everything'... Sounds like someone needs to slipstream (integrate) SP2 into the CD...
