How do I open IM files

How do I open IM files

I received an email with an attachment and the file was an IM file but I can
not open it, I am running windows XP Pro with service pack 2. Can anyone tell
me what I need to open an IM extention file

try asking whoever sent it to you - just like I posted in reply to your
other question two days ago....
