Look closer and you will see the spam was not doubled.
Malke took care to delete the original message in her post.

The point was that I saw the spam, knew it was spam (as almost anyone
would), and moved on without reading the message. Later, I saw the spam
subject again (the doubling that I spoke of), because someone had to point
out that the spam was spam. It was good that they didn't actually quote
the spam message, but it would have been even better just to have left it
unresponded to. I even feel guilty that I'm bothering to respond now, as
others are seeing the spam subject yet again.
