Hidden Files and Folders are not visible
Recently i've noticed that HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDER are not visible even
though they are all there but not visible cause i can access them directly through my favourite entry in windows explorer, also everytime i've tried to check the radio button in Tools--Folder -Option--View to " Hide Hidden Files and Folder" and clicked Apply and close the dialog box it reverts back to " +Show hidden file and folder" but not showing any hidden folder. I've run Spyware Doctor, Ad-ware, Spybot CA antivirus and spyware, all come clean no problems, only Xsoft's spyware detected two problems in Registry, it says "Eventlog.exe" from HKEY classes Root clsid, and HKEY local machine, which i'd tried to remove couple of time but at every reboot they comeback so i'd removed them manually and they are gone, but hidden folders are still no show. Please help, I've two administrator accounts on this toshiba laptop,e.g say AA & BB, running windows MCE 2005 edition fully patched, the other account BB which i don't use frequently is working good showing all Hidden Folders & Files charactarstically. thanks |

Re: Hidden Files and Folders are not visible
Hi Tony,
See line 127 (right hand side) and line 155: If neither of the above helps - navigate to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer If a Dword value named NoFolderOption is there, delete it or change the value to 0. -- All the Best, Kelly (MS-MVP/DTS&XP) Taskbar Repair Tool Plus!
