Add/Remove windows components not working.
I'm using XP with SP2 and now out of the blue when I click on add/remove
windows components, I get a small window saying 'configuring components' which just finishes and return me back to the main add/remove programs window. I have no access to the windows components screen at all. Any ideas please? Regards, John. |

What Kelly suggests: Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 appwiz.cpl If that doesn't help, right click the Desktop/Properties/Themes/choose Windows XP and try again. -- All the Best, Kelly -- Joe =o) |

Re: Add/Remove windows components not working.
Is it possible that you have some sort of malware or virus installed by
accident, in which it took away your Administration rights...If you are not logged in as the Administrator, you cannot access Add/Remove programs or even hardware for that mattter...
