error code 0x0000005

I started getting a message that states " Internet explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close.Sorry for the inconveniance." asks if i want to
send an error report to microsoft and then shuts down. It's only affecting me
when i try to go to dallascowboys.com or stlcardinals.com. I've been able to
go onto other nfl & mlb sights & hasn't affected any other sights that my
family or i use.The error code is what i got when i looked for info and i
have more writen down if needed.i enjoy the articals on both sights and don't
want to give them up.Anything would be usefull. Thanks in advance.

Re: error code 0x0000005

Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove all Java or JRE items. Then go to
Java.com and get the latest runtimes, version 6 update 2. See if that fixes
it.

Re: error code 0x0000005

Well, there are security settings and security apps that can block Java, but
I'm at my limits of knowledge on this one. Hope someone else has more
detailed info. I'd post your query to the IE newsgroup:

I don't know if you saw my reply to you on 06/08/2007 or you lost track of
it?.
Well, what the error message?, please if the below steps did not help write
back with the exact wording of the error message.
If you get Memory Cannot be read or written. As the name refer to, it is a
memory problem, some applications/programs
didn't release the memory in timely fashion causing the Error to be thrown by
the system error reporting tools.
Also it could be the work of malware, badly written application installed
on your system including third party toolbars installed beside Internet
explorer, do you have other toolbars installed try to uninstall them, memory
gone bad or loose in their slots/dust also can cause this.
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
How to manage Add-Ons:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883256

2... You need to be sure your system is clean from malware and Viruses by
scanning for them
Scan for malware from here:

http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-gb/default.htm
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-...e_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

=How to perform a clean boot procedure to prevent background programs from
interfering with a game or a program that you currently use
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

3... You may have a bad RAM try to test your RAM by running Memtest by
downloading this tool and unzip it and make a floppy or CD/DVD and run it on
Reboot.
http://www.memtest86.com/
You may need to reposition/reset the RAM sticks in their slots.
If you still having problem see this from Gerry and Myself:

Also the complete error message will be great help for us and you from the
Event Viewer?.
HTH.
Let us know.

for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information
you were working on might be lost. Please tell microsoft about this problem
we have created an error report that you can send to help us improve internet
explorer. We will treat this report as confidential and anonimus. To see what
this error report contains, click here." next page "Error Signiture App
name:iexplore.exp App Ver:6.0.2900.2186 Mod name wininet.DCL
Mod Ver:6.0.2900.3121 offset:00004621" next page "The
following information about your prosses will be prepaired. Exception
Information code:0xc0000005 flags:0x00000000
record:0x0000000000000000 adress: 0x00000000771b4621"
i've tried all of the sugestions that you gave me earlier ,but none of them
have worked.Would like to know about the event vewier.Don't know what else i
can tell you about the message. It doesn't say anything about it being a
memory problem and i have tried running macafee and have found no virises. The
only other thing that i can think of is to crash and reboot , but having done
that once it took awhile to get everything back. Thanks again for your help
so far.
