I tried to install some software on Windows XP Home Edition and it said to
use "Admin". Can anyone tell me how to do this? -- Elaine |

Elaine,
It means you have to login to the computer as the administrator who has unrestrictive access to the machine -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "Elaine" <Elaine@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:808B726E-44D3-45BE-8FE0-FF6C82A80C2F@microsoft.com... > I tried to install some software on Windows XP Home Edition and it said to > use "Admin". The only way to be logged into Windows XP Home with the "true" administrator account is to be in safe mode - but i would doubt the legitimacy of any software that would require that. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |

Re: How do I install software
You sure it wasn't "with Admin privileges" or rights? That is a frequent
requirement to successfully install most software. Elaine wrote: > I tried to install some software on Windows XP Home Edition and it said to > use "Admin". Can anyone tell me how to do this? |

Re: How do I install software
Shenan, this is software related to a $300 digital camera I bought. Now I am
scared to install it... -- Elaine "Shenan Stanley" wrote: > Elaine wrote: > > I tried to install some software on Windows XP Home Edition and it > > said to use "Admin".
