programs running in the background

programs running in the background

How can I find out what programs are running in the background so I can shut
it down? ... it may be a virus scan program but I can't locate it. Thanks,

pushing control...alt..delete all at same time brings up Task Manager
Under Task manager you can see programs and processes that are running

Yes.

Also, Process Explorer will give you *much* more information about what's
running:

Thanks .... are all the processes listed on the "processes" tab running??
