cannot export messages from outlook express 6.0

I have purchased a new comp w/Vista. I would like to export messages from
outlook express 6.0 on my old XP Pro machine. Each time I try using the
export command within outlook express 6.0 I get an error message " The export
could not be performed. An error occurred while initializing MAPI."
Can someone offer some assistance?
Andrew

You need to COPY the WHOLE of your OE message store into a new folder in
Vista on which your User account has read/write permissions and then import
from within Windows Mail....
