Computer has started to come out of hibernation on it's own

Hi Everybody,

Before I go to work, I put my computer in hibernation mode. However,
recently when I come home from work, my computer has come out of hibernation
and is running. Since I live alone, the power ups have to be coming from the
computer.
Today, when I arrived home and the computer was powered up, I checked event
viewer and it looks like, the computer powered up after about 6 hours of
hibernating.
Any ideas on what maybe causing this ?

Re: Computer has started to come out of hibernation on it's own

Hi,

It may be that there are planned tasks in the Task Scheduler that cause
this.
You can regard these tasks and look if there are any tasks which it has been
permitted to obtain the computer out of hibernation.

If so, uncheck this possibility.

If not, there can be another cause that makes the system to wake up from
hibernation.

Re: Computer has started to come out of hibernation on it's own

have u recently installed any devices, or changed any settings for any
of your devices, because it is possible to let some devices wake your
computer from standby/hibernation.

Enter BIOS and reset anything that indicates wake such as "wake on LAN"
