Problem with XPS viewer

Can't find a group for XPS, so if anyone knows of one or a forum somewhere
please re-direct me....

Installed XPS Viewer on XP SP2 a while ago. Went to open an XPS document
today (I am not sure if I've ever used it on this machine before), and all I
get is a small grey box (about an inch square) with a red button with an "X"
in it in the top L/H corner and an "OK" button in the middle. I go to
Control panel-Add/Remove programs. The only option I get is to Uninstall -
which I take and a few seconds later get the dialog box "fatal error during
installation" - no other message or options. I try to re-install, and I get
the message "Another version of this produce is already installed.
Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the
existing version of this product use Add/remove Programs on the Control
Panel" which I can't - see above!

Help!
