SLxxx.tmp has encountered a problem error when trying to install .

Hi,

I'm having a problem installing the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. Every
time I run the install I get SLxxx.tmp has encountered a problem error when
trying to install .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and the update fails.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Nope, thanks for the try though. I already searched the knowledgebase and
came up empty.

Any other suggestions?

Uninstall .NET Framework versions and reboot and then reinstall all the
..NET Framework versions on the reboot, after cleaning out your \Temp Folders
and running Disk Cleanup. Plus it would not hurt to use a Windows Registry
Cleaner, too.

Thank you gents,

I had to download dotnetfx.exe and extract netfx.msi from it to get the .NET
v1.1 uninstall to work but no biggie.
