error message on start up

I'm getting the following message on startup
the application or DLL C;\WINDOWS\system32\WTSAPI32DLL is not a valid
windows image.

My BT Broadband also seems to have been messed up by this.Please help but
keep it simple I'm more computer literate than my hubby but less so than my
teenage son

Hi,
What version of Windows are you running?

WTSAPI32.DLL is part of Microsoft Terminal Server APIs.

Run a search on your machine to find by typing in the search:

WTSAPI32.DLL click [Search] and if you found it try to copy it to here:
C:\Windows\System32
Reboot your machine and see if the error gone.

Unexplained computer behaviour may be caused by deceptive software

Go through these Cleaning steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

Run disk clean up then this command:
sfc /scannow

Many thanks for replying to my post.I'm running WindowsXP media edition.I
have searched for WTSAPetc and it is already in C;\windows etc.So i have
painstakingly followed all your other suggestions but to no avail.Any more
ideas I could try or is it a case of getting someone far more knowledgeable
than me to sort it out!!

Hi Annie,
If it there can you rename it to WTSAPI32.DLLOLD then reboot your machine,
does it help?

Did you read the article about windows terminal service?

If it is too much then yes best if you took it to your local repair shop for
them to sort it out for you.
