Not all $OEM$\Drivers are loaded
Hi
I am currently configuring a WDS server with an XP SP3 image but I am having some problems with the drivers. I created the image with "sysprep -mini -activated" and have created a sysprep.inf. The sysprep.inf is used during the mini setup and everything seems to be working fine but not all the drivers are used. When I check the \Drivers folder on the destination computer not all the folders have the INFCACHE.1 file, and according to the information I have found if the file is present then Windows have cached the folder during the mini setup. If I check C:\Windows\Setupact.txt I can see that the mini setup used the drivers in "C:\Drivers\net\e100032 8.8.1.0\" which are the Intel Gbit network adapter but non of the other folders are present. I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad T61 with an Intel 965 Express display adapter, I downloaded the driver from Lenovo.com. Does anybody have an idea about what's going wrong? /Lasse |

RE: Not all $OEM$\Drivers are loaded
Hi
After doing some tests and creating a new image I can see that none of the drivers from [OEMPnpDriversPath] in Sysprep.inf are used. I can see that it actually goes through the Sysprep.inf file because it runs my [GuiRunOnce] command without any problems. So my problems is WHY don't the mini setup use the drivers specified in [OEMPnpDriversPath]? I place all the drivers in C:\Drivers\ and in Sysprep.inf I use "Drivers\LAN" etc. /Lasse "Lasse" wrote: > Hi > > I am currently configuring a WDS server with an XP SP3 image but I am having > some problems with the drivers. > I created the image with "sysprep -mini -activated" and have created a > sysprep.inf.
