RE: fix crash windows xp
Thank you Nass I am going to try all these suggestions now. I already looked
at the cryptographic service from the run cmd and it was "started" and "Automatic". I will let you know tomorrow what happens with the other suggestions you gave me to try. Thanks agin, and I am really sorry I have to keep asking you all for help. Its just that I am not very computer literate and I am so frustrated. I run a retail business online and everything I need is either on my Outlook Express or my Word Perfect 11 and neither will open!!! @#$$@%#@*&^% -- Patti "nass" wrote: > > > > > "nass" wrote: > > > > > > > > Try the Home Page Lock and Unlock from here- line 63 1st column: > > > > > > Bear in mind if you have a protection/security software that configured or > > > by default set to block any changes or alert you to take action, try to > > > reconfigure it to allow you to change the Home page. > > > Did you clicked on Apply then [OK] when you tried the URL for your new Home > > > page?. > > > > > > Ton the updates issue: > > > > > > Please copy and paste the following into a Notepad and Save it as Reg.bat on > > > your Desktop then double click the Reg.bat to execute it and click "YES" to > > > register the Required DLLs for the windows updates engine. > > > > > > regsvr32 Msxml.dll > > > regsvr32 Msxml2.dll > > > regsvr32 atl.dll > > > regsvr32 wuapi.dll > > > regsvr32 inetcomm.dll > > > regsvr32 wups.dll > > > regsvr32 wuaueng.dll > > > regsvr32 wucltui.dll > > > regsvr32 wuweb.dll > > > regsvr32 MSXML3.dll > > > regsvr32 cryptsvc.dll > > > regsvr32 dssenh.dll > > > regsvr32 qmgr.dll > > > regsvr32 wuapi.dll > > > regsvr32 oleaut32.dll > > > regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll > > > regsvr32 wups2.dll > > > net start wuauserv > > > Reboot the machine and see if you will be able to get and install any > > > updates. > > > > > > Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update > > > > > > How to troubleshoot common Windows Update, Microsoft Update, and Windows > > > Server Update Services installation issues: > > > > > > You cannot install some updates or programs: > > > > > > > > > Get Dial-a-Fix: > > > > > > > > > Can you please contact me on here: to_you_rossatyahoo.co.uk > > > Remove the abvious to mail me. > > > > > > HTH. > > > Let us know. > > > nass > > > === > > > > > > > > > "Pattim" wrote: > > > > > > > Thank you everyone who answered my post especially nass.
