Re: reinstalling XP and partitioned drives
No, it's the original hard drive. One is large and one is small.
Here is a little back ground on the whole problem.....I was using Windows Steady State as the computer in question is part of a Community Technology Center & Library. I was having some issues with the PC, so I turned off WDP in Steady State and attempted to do a recovery back to an earlier date......Evidently this is a BIG NO NO if you are using Steady State 2.0... Anyway, the administrator and user profiles locked up (they don't even appear on the welcome screen), I tried a password recovery program that didn't work, also tried to do a "repair" rather than reinstall. Nothing has worked. It's been 10+ years since I have reinstalled an OS and I don't remember anything about partitioned drives. Any advise you can give me would be helpful, I'm sure. Re: reinstalling XP and partitioned drives
Do you have the Windows XP CD and Key Code?
Or is that other partition (the small partition), a 'Restore' partition created by the Vendor? If you have the Windows CD then, what service pack is it (Gold, SP1 or SP2) Answer to your question is normally the C: partition.
